Collaborating in Real Time
We’ve had a blast at Realhub the last few months researching and experimenting with new technologies.
We have been working hard refining a small but very powerful piece of our platform — artwork comments and reviews. Since we introduced the feature about a year ago our users have created over 15,000 artwork comments and it is has become one of our most popular features.
It was a feature we launched quietly but quickly grew organically due to the ease of use and the problem it solved. Previously, if an office admin wanted to share a proof with an agent they would have to download the PDF and manually attach it to an email and wait for the reply which would hopefully not be lost in the hundreds of others flying in during the day.
We solved this problem but sending a link to the agent which allowed them to login and quickly make comments and download the proof in a mobile friendly page. Comments and approval were then stored against the artwork in the system for easy reference down the track. As the months went by we refined the page to make it quicker and easier but the cracks slowly began to show…
When an agent had to review multiple artworks (which happens frequently) they still had to scroll through their emails to try and locate the artworks which needed review, obviously not ideal.
Today we bring you the next revision!
Introducing Conversations — a brand new way to discuss and interact with Artworks.
Sharing the proof from the artwork builder feels very familiar but you can now share with any admin, agent and even the vendor.
With the tapping of a few keys and the click of the button you can fire the proof away for everyone to review and comment on, nice.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Conversations can now occur in real time thanks to our brand spanking new realtime library which means you can collaborate faster than ever before.
